I was reminiscing earlier today when I first heard this song now more than thirty five years ago – in the mid 80’s in a packed arena at an annual Gaither Praise Gathering event in Indianapolis- First Call were the original back up singers at Sandi Patty’s early tours. The lyrics had such a strong message then and here we are decades later with a so needed message for here and now. The bridge contains some lyrics that my prayer is that we all can take to heart –
‘He made us in His image
And in His eyes, we are all the same
And though our methods they may be different
Jesus is the bond that will remain…’
JESUS is the Bond that will remain. May we all find that place in our hearts, our lives and our love for each other to be a bond – not a division – because my Friends, that is what Jesus did. Love you all. #undivided
